Story
This is one of those bikes that's just trash. It is for this reason that it's one of our favourites.

A (very) good friend won an auction (on a well known bidding site) and brought this low end Claude Butler, general mans bike, with rubbish components and a dream of converting it into a city fixie.

We had a blast taking it apart with tools that weren't up to it and trying everything to get the stem out. I still haven't got it out. Lesson to you, grease your stems.

Through lack of time, i inherited it, and converted it to my daily driver, pizza collecting, pub bike and it's a dream to ride. Fitting out a flat bar and shimano brake set, repurposed from my Dawes (fixie to commuter) build, and a pizza rack. I polished the frame and alcohol scrubbed off the decals.

Jimmy's Bike Shop doesn't sell unsafe bikes, and even with a fixed gear, I do not like cheap single pivot brakes. Enter Tektro R559 long reach, wide clearance, dual pivot calipers, available in nutted and recessed, silver or black. The ideal modern safety upgrade on all bikes, I'd highly recommend. I learnt a lot from this bike.

One of my faviourite bikes, a never ending project, donor and recipient of upgrades and project parts.

Enough clearance for 40mm tyres, when i find a wide enough (622-15) rear wheel, it'll become my Tracklocross machine.

This is DanGer. Named after the inspiration i needed to start it all off.
And the fear that anything will fail every time i ride it.

An all round dream.

Description
The bike is in average, well ridden, rust speckled, fully functioning condition.
It has been built from the frame up, well selected and compatible components.
Rides smoothly, is light and perfect for beers in the park.
The frame and components do show very excessive marks from where and dings, and that's why it's great.

This bike isn't for sale, but if you really like it, send me a message.
